Trade your plants, seedlings, & cuttings for something new at our Plant Swap starting May 24th!
How it works:
- All plants are free.
- Houseplants, herbs, vegetable & flower seedlings are all welcome (noxious weeds are not welcome at this swap)
- Equal exchanges encouraged: Bring a plant. Take a plant. You're also welcome to bring extra plants to give away & take any donated plants.
- Plants in soil or root cuttings in water are welcome.
- Label your plants if you happen to know what they are!
New to plant propagation? Here are some basics:
- Choose an established plant with developed roots.
- Cut diagonally just below the lowest node (the knobby bump where the leaves attach to the stem). The best cuttings will have a few leaves and be at least a few inches in length.
- Place the cutting in a jar of water making sure to not place any leaves in the water, only the stem.
- Roots will eventually sprout and you can pot your plant!
