James Stavig and his wife have lived in Burlington for approximately 10 years. James is a Certified Management Accountant for a local boat manufacturer. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. James was born in Seattle, Washington but was raised down South for most of his childhood. James enjoys snow skiing, cycling, mountaineering, and camping. James volunteers his time with Habitat for Humanity, Skagit Humane Society and Community Action of Skagit County. He looks forward to working with the citizens and businesses in Burlington.
Councilmember Stavig serves on the Public Works Committee, Public Safety Committee, and Parks & Recreation Board. James is also an alternate at the SCOG/RTPO/MPO meetings and for the North Star Advisory Committee.
