This is Dr. Pérez-Linares' second term as Councilmember for Ward 6.
He is a marine biologist with a PhD in management and conservation of natural resources. He worked for 18+ years in Research and Development collaborating in different countries: Mexico, Spain, New Zealand, Ireland, Portugal and the USA. He graduated from WWU in 2015 obtaining a teaching certification. Currently he is a 5th grade teacher at West View Elementary. He believes that hard work, perseverance, kindness and integrity are the key to succeed. Jesús hopes to bring a diverse perspective to the City Council to voice the needs and help the growing community in our beautiful city.
Jesús serves on the Public Safety Committee, Parks & Recreation Board, and the Audit & Finance Committee, and as chair of the Arts Commission.
